AVIAN PURSUITS NATURE TOURS
...come see the real world!
Your tour guide, in his fancy boots!
Welcome to the Avian Pursuits Nature Tours web page.
In case you haven't already heard, Avian Pursuits will
be ending in June, 2011. At  that time, I am going to
begin working for the
Partnership for International
Birding
(PIB). Through that organization, I hope to
continue to offer many of the same kind of trips I have
run through Avian Pursuits, but you will have many
more options for birding and nature trips around the
world!!
I will be working on moving information from this web
page to the PIB site. More information to come soon.

Here is a list of my most recent updates:

6-7-11: All Tennessee Not Seen dragonfly lists are up
to date, as reflected on OdonataCentral.

2-28-11: coastal South Carolina trip report available.
Also updated Macon and Williamson County butterfly
not seen lists.

2-1-11: updated my BAMONA AviSys list (for
butterflies) to reflect the current list found at
http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/

1-29-11: added to a growing AviSys database of world
butterflies.

1-22-11: Added a database of European Butterflies for
use with AviSys birding software.

January 2011: updated all Tennessee county butterfly
NOT SEEN lists based on the NEW
BAMONA website!

Prepared a database for MOTHS for use with AviSys

THE LOST LADYBUG PROJECT

I'd like to call your attention to this project aimed at finding
out where all our native lady beetles have gone. Please check
out their website and consider contributing to their
knowledge of where these colorful insects have gone. I hope to
schedule an outing where we visit a site or two and
photograph as many lady beetles as we can.
